Rich aromas of dark cherries and mellow tobacco. pear-like fruit notes, dry, buttery oakiness and faintly spiced notes followed by a balance of smoothness and spice. The finish is spicy and warming, with a hint of caramel and vanilla.

Description

After five years, this San Francisco World Spirits Competition Gold Medal winner returns in 2024. This Rye Whiskey is crafted from a mash of 95% rye grains and 5% malted barley. The grains are fermented with a unique strain of family yeast and distilled through a copper still. Following distillation, the rye is aged for 12 years.

Founded in 1987, this distillery is one of the fastest-growing whiskeys in America. The brand attributes that growth to bartenders and cultural partners who have adopted it as their own. In 2017, they opened a new, state-of-the-art distillery located in Shelbyville, KY. Constructed with a focus on sustainable practices including natural habitat protection, water conservation, and local ingredient sourcing, receiving the Highly Commended award for Sustainable Distillery of the Year at the 2020 Icons of Whisky Awards from Whisky Magazine. In 2019, they opened a Visitor’s Centre in Shelbyville to share their modern, technological, and sustainable approach to making great whiskey.
